After the cobblestones, make way for the hills in the Flèche brabançonne/Brabantse Pijl this Wednesday, April 10, 2024 ... before the Amstel Gold Race this Sunday!
A 195 kilometer classic is scheduled for 149 riders from the start in Leuven, a passage through Flemish Brabant and the finish in Overijse. No less than 21 hills are on this course, 4 of them in the final circuit which will be done four times.

The course of the Flèche brabançonne/Brabantse Pijl 2024 on an OpenStreetMap map
After the start from Leuven, the riders head south and thus toward the border of Flemish Brabant, which they cross just before heading first west and then southwest in the outskirts of Wavre by passing just below the finish line in Overijse.They will then go through Terhulpen (La Hulpe), Eigenbrakel (Braine-l'Alleud) and Lillois-Witterzée over a large part of the course which will be covered in both directions. They will then turn right and ride around Eigenbrakel (Braine-l'Alleud) before setting course towards Beersel, via the first hill, on the Chaussée d'Alsemberg. There they'll ride a short loop which is rounded off with the climb of the Bruineput and that's where the blue part of the course ends. Originally, between these two hills, the Sollenberg was also on the program, but the organizer confirmed to me that due to a course change (obstacles) it was dropped at the last minute. That's why an incorrect map can be found on several websites.
Further over the purple section, they'll follow the same route back, starting with the climb of the Eigenbrakelsesteenweg, then that of the Rue de Nivelles after which they can regain strength in the feeding zone.
Just after Terhulpen (La Hulpe) they'll leave the two-way course, towards the final circuit, where they'll find 4 more hills: the Hertstraat at the very beginning of the circuit, the very steep Moskesstraat, the Holstheide and just before the crossing of the finish line the S-Bocht Overijse.
They will do this circuit 4 times before crossing the finish line for the last time in the Brusselsesteenweg in Overijse!
