Tonight at 10.04PM the Vuelta a España 2010 will start in Sevilla with a team time trial. Indeed, the Vuelta a España celebrates its 75th anniversary by starting with a nightly stage which will finish for the last team only at 11.42PM!!

22 teams participate in the Tour of Spain 2010 with each 9 riders (for a total of 198 riders). Exclusive: the participants in the Tour du Limousin 2010!

A few days ago I already presented the 2010 Tour du Limousin route on Google Maps. Today, I present you exclusively, before the press conference this morning, the list of participating riders for this 43rd edition of the Tour du Limousin which will take place from 17 till 20 August.

After the Tour de France, August reserves 3 stage races for the riders in France: in the order on the calendar that's the Tour de l'Ain (10 to 14 August), the Tour du Limousin (17 to 20 August) and the Tour international Poitou-Charentes (24 to 27 August). Like last year I'll again work for the Tour du Limousin to prepare some interesting contents for the official web site of the race and that's why I can now allow you to discover, as a prime before the publication on the official website, the route of the Tour du Limousin 2010 on Google Maps and in Google Earth!

2010 Tour de France: why Mark Cavendish didn't win the green jersey

Several people came to ask me about it in the past few days ... and several of my customers in the Tour de France 2010 were also wondering about the same question ... How come Mark Cavendish (HTC-Columbia) wins 5 stages in a sprint (the small rider from the Isle of Man seems to have found back his sprinters legs he was looking for since the start of the season) while he didn't win the green jersey of best sprinter?

Indeed, Alessandro Petacchi (Lampre-Farnese Vini) took - almost a week ago already - home the precious green tissue. How could Ale-Jet (who won "only" 2 stages) beat Cav like this?

2010 Tour de France: Fabian Cancellara wins the prologue in Rotterdam

This afternoon the prologue of the Tour de France 2010 took place in Rotterdam in The Netherlands. For the 4th time in the history of the Tour de France, Fabian Cancellara (Team Saxo Bank) won this initial individual time trial and thus took the first yellow jersey of the 97th edition of the Tour.

Partially run under the rain, this time trial has become more dangerous for some riders, but Spartacus was lucky ... the sun popped through again when he did his solitary effort.

2010 Tour of Switzerland: a surprising end, the time trial for Tony Martin, the final victory for Fränk Schleck

A surprising end in the Tour of Switzerland 2010 this afternoon: Fabian Cancellara (Team Saxo Bank) didn't win the final time trial, and neither Robert Gesink (Rabobank) nor Lance Armstrong (Team Radioshack) takes the final victory of the 74th edition of the Tour of Switzerland!

No, Tony Martin was faster than Fabian Cancellara and thus takes the stage victory. Robert Gesink's performance in this final time trial was disappointing, in contrast to Lance Armstrong's. Fränk Schleck (Team Saxo Bank)'s performance wasn't disappointing either and the rider from Luxembourg thus stays ahead of the American: Fränk Schleck wins the 2010 Tour of Switzerland!

2010 Tour of Switzerland: start order and route of the individual time trial in Liestal

122 riders will come to the start of the decisive individual time trial of the Tour of Switzerland 2010 in Liestal tomorrow. Of the 26.9 kilometers the first 11.4 are uphill to win 229 meters in altitude, before going back downhill to Liestal.

In the general classification, the leader Robert Gesink (Rabobank) has a time gap with the other riders in the top 10 of at most 1'38" only and the Dutch rider must thus give everything he has in this individual time trial if he wants to win this 74th edition of the Tour of Switzerland.
